The good thing is that with the advanced in technology, you nowadays really don’t need to have that ultra-complicated super-software which takes a rocket-scientist brain to use. Next thing is – you want to be able to export the music in an easily shareable format, such as MP3. You see, when you actually produce the music, you use other file formats than MP3. So it is important that you have an easy way to turn your beats and music into an MP3 file that you can share with friends, burn on CD, upload online, use in your online videos, and so on. And finally: easy of use! Look, I know how cool it is to play around in a real sound studio – but if the music making software is too difficult, then it’s just frustrating and no fun. What you want to find is a music program that makes it easy for you to put a beat that you have in your mind, and turn it into a “real” beat – a beat that you can work with, that you can share with others, and that sounds cool. And you want to do that with the least amount of friction. That’s why it’s so important that the program is easy to use, despite all the many functions it has. An intuitive user-interface is one of the most important features you want to look for. Because if you constantly have to look up in the users manual or help section how to do something, then it really cripples the creative process and dries up your creative juices.
